Driving Licence application rules to change, everything you need to know

With the beginning of the New Year, the Union Ministry of Transport has made many changes in rules of issuance and renewal of Driving Licence (DL) and related services, including, registration of vehicles. The transport ministry has made many of the service completely online as part of the Digital India campaign.

This decision will help the people with the pandemic restricting movement that were making trouble while making offline procedures, these changes will help the citizens to get their documents issued or renewed without problems. However, many states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand, have already implemented these new rules while issuance and renewal of Driving License.

Steps to apply for issuance and renewal of online Driving Licence and related services:

Step 1: Go to the official website of Transport Ministry at https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan//en

Step 2: Then, Click on the Online Services tab on homepage. It will show you a menu with several 

services option.

Step 3: Select the Driving Licence Related Services from the menu.
