Farmers’ Tractor Rally Violence LIVE Updates: Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Naresh Tikait has declared an end to the farmers' protest at Ghazipur. "The dharna at the Ghazipur (border) will end today," he said in Muzaffarnagar. But his brother and BKU leader Rakesh Tikait said he will continue the sit-in protest at Ghazipur border.
Earlier today, the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Lok Shakti) announced that it is withdrawing from the 'kisan andolan', a day after two farmer unions called off their protest. The Delhi Police on Wednesday said that it has issued a Lookout Notice (LOC) against some farmer leaders with the help of immigration. The passports of these leaders will be seized as a part of the process, said Delhi Police in a statement. The decisions have been taken following a series of meetings chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah since Tuesday when the large scale violence took place in the national capital during the farmers' tractor rally, a home ministry official said.
